- Brugada is relatively rare but syncope is very common. Look for Brugada in addition to other pathologies eg. heart block / long QT / Wolf-Parkinson-White in patients with syncope
- Definitive management of Brugada is an implanted cardiac defibrillator (ICD)
- Ask about family history of collapse/sudden cardiac death in patients with syncope
- Brugada sign in isolation (ie asymptomatic / no family history) is of questionable significance
